About Star Of Erin Wreck

The Star Of Erin was a Barkentine Vessel that was used to transport Wool and Grain from Bluff to London. On February 6, 1892, enroute to London she ran aground on Otara Point, and sank minutes later. Today she is broken up with her remains scattered on a sandy bottom. Home to a wide variety of marine life and beautiful corals.
