About St Vincent Wreck

The St Vincent was a Full Rigged Ship of 834 tons sailing under the command of Captain Barron. She sank on February 14, 1869 close to Palliser Bay when threatening winds and rough seas steered her into the bay and eventually over rocks. She sank shortly after taking 20 lives with her. This is a beautiful wreck with loads of marine and coral life to be seen. Great site for explorer diver. She can now be found on the Coast of Orongorongo.
