About Punta Perdiz

This dive site consists of 2 seperate scuba dives known as Punta Perdiz 1 and Punta Perdiz 2, both of these dives are done by shore and can also be done as a snorkel dive if prefered.The first dive 'Punta Perdiz 1' is accessed via some steps from the beach located at Playa Giron on the Eastern side of the Bay of Pigs.After entering the water one heads West where you will come across a drop off after a distance of about 100 meters.Here you will find an interesting reef with some great coral and sponge growth. The second option is to dive Punta Perdiz 2, this scuba and snorkel dive consists of a fascinating reef wall which descends down to a sandy sea floor which extends to some extreme depths.There are various small caverns and overhangs which divers can explore.The marine life is great with Bannerfish, Glassfish, Sweepers and Butterfly fish to name a few
