About Calpean Star Wreck
The Calpean Star was a Steel Hulled British Steamer. She served in the Whaling Industry, Trooping Duties, as well as Royal Mail Duties and was also known as The Highland Chieftan. In March 1960 she suffered rudder damage, followed by a boiler room explosion. She was abandoned, and intentionally scuttled in 1965. Its a beautiful wreck dive with lots of marine life. You can also see her masts surfacing from the water as you approach.
