About Washingtonian Wreck

This was a Steam Powered Freighter. On January 26, 1915, barely a year old, she collided with a Wooden Schooner named The Elizabeth Palmer. This vessel made a huge gash in her starboard side and she started taking on water, causing the washingtonian to go down really fast. Today she rests upside down on a sandy bottom. Coral encrusted and teeming with marine life.
