About USS Fred T. Berry Wreck

This was a Fletcher Class Destroyer built in 1945 in California. The ship was named after her Captain Fred Berry. This ship served in the Korean War, screening fast carrier launch strikes as well as escorts to name a few. During this period, she has recieved 2 battle stars. She was sunk as a experiment by the Underwater Explosives Research Division in 1972.
