About USS Amesbury Wreck

This was a Charles Lawrence Class High-Speed Transport Vessel. She carried 4 Landing Crafts and a onboard Dual Purpose Gun Mount, 8 single gun mounts and depth charge tracks. She also had service in Korea, and was decommisioned in 1946. The intentions was to sink here deep, but she decided to put herself to rest while enroute to sink her. A beautiful artificial reef with many fish and coral growth.
