About Urca De Lima Wreck

The Urca De Lima was a old wooden hull Spanish Treasure Ship that was enroute From Havana. It ran aground due to a hurricane in 1715 and sank, taking with more than $15 million in treasure. Today most of it has been salvaged and only about $4 million recovered. This dive site is the First underwater Archeological Preserve in the area.
