About Police Beach

This site is best explored from off the side of a boat. A series of lava fingers extend seaward from Police beach. Although the fingers have been worn smooth by strong waves there are still beautiful rock outcroppings to view and one can see small fish and shrimp in the channels that separate the fingers. The best diving at this site is between 40 to 70 feet, though the depth does range from 15 to 85 feet. By day, two small caves house the largest turtles at this site, and by night, one can observe textile cones foraging for food at the bottom.
