About Ocean Wave Wreck

The Ocean Wave was a Scow Schooner. She sank in September 1869 after running into a severe storm. She was busy transporting a cargo of limestone at this point and bound for Moonlight Bay. Her wreck was only discovered in 2003. Despite the fact that this wreck has been underwater for more then 140 years, her scattered remains are still beautiful, with lots of interesting things to see and explore. Home to abundant marine life. Excellent bottom topography.
