About Manasquan Wreck

This dive site features the Amity, one of the four original Black Ball packet ships. The Black Pall Line was the first company that specialized in trans-Atlantic service. The ship ran aground on the beach of Manasquan. Luckily no lives were lost and much of the cargo was recovered, besides for cargo being carried in the lower holds. One can still find some abandoned cargo in low wooden debris field, about 330 yards offshore.
