About Kassandra Louloudis

The shoal currents make it difficult to get out to this wreck but it is a lot of fun if you can get there - almost like diving a huge underwater junkyard. The wreck is contiguous from stern to the area where the bow should be, besides a small break to the rudder section. The wreck is reasonably low and the boilers are the highest point of relief. There is no evidence of the bow end of the Kassandra (no anchors, windlass etc). There is a possibility that shifting sand could have covered the bow but this is relatively uncommon. Navigation is mostly quite easy although the debris can look the same at times. Visibility is generally good, though, and the white sand helps with navigation. The port edge gives some leeward shelter (from all but the strongest current) in which to explore.
