This large wreck, the Dixie Arrow, lies on its keel and is contiguous from bow to stern. The bow and forward tank area gives the most relief and the stern and engine area is the most interesting to explore. The midsection is flat. The current can be very strong at this site so the trip up or back to the stern can be quite challenging. Be warned that the flat section between the stern and the bow can be confusing in bad visibility so it is best to stay near the edges. The high points on the wreck are best for marine life. One can ride the current (coming across the wreck) at the engine area and wait for turtles, sharks and sting rays to swim by. The Dixie Arrow is great because even when you can't get further south wrecks you can nearly always get to the Arrow. The wreck can support numerous visits and divers because of its abundant marine life and good conditions.
