Molokini is a conservation area and all marine life and substrate is protected. This is the same site as the "Back Wall" This is the only true wall dive in Maui County. It is the outer rim of Molokini Crater where the island plummets vertically from nearly 200 feet above the ocean to the bottom approximately 300 feet below. The wall is primarily vertical but also consist of knees jutting out, shelves and undercuts so there are a lot of horizontal surfaces as well. This dive site is only accessible by live boat (not anchored.) Currents are variable, sometimes you drift, sometimes you swim. Note: surge is vertical on a wall.
