This dive site features the Atlas, a huge wreck that lies on a sand/mud bottom that becomes easily stirred. Due to the low visibility and murky waters the wreck seems even larger. It lies on its keel with the hull collapsed and gaps have come about in-between the hull sections. One of the main gaps is between the engine and boilers and the hull area. Even though it is generally rather damaged, there are still some bits where the hull is intact and perfectly diveable. The extreme bow point has now collapsed and fallen away. One can see the anchor windlass lying upside down and the port anchor completely exposed whilst the starboard anchor is buried under sand and mud. Visibility is better towards the top of the wreck.
