The Alexander Ramsey is a liberty ship that was sunk for use as an artificial reef. It's upper deck was cut off, removing the superstructure. There are many other structures sunk around this site, most between 1970 and 1984. This includes a 100-foot tug, a 120-foot tug, the Sicony 8, another tug roughly 105 feet long, two 90-foot barges and finally a 135-foot barge.
