On the East side of Coniston Water, the area is also known as Bayliff wood. The dive is fresh water and is well used for training as it has a shallow entry followed by a gradual slope to 5 - 6 mtrs. further in theres a wall bottoming at 36 metres. A torch is a neccessity as below 10 to 15 metres it becomes dark (and cold!) temperatures average 11 degrees
