The Loanda Was a Elder De,pster Steamer built in 1891. She was used to transport general cargo, including rum, gin and gunpowder. She sank on May 31, 1908 after colliding with a Russian Steamer, the Junona. She was badly damaged and sank whilst being towed back to harbour. She rests in 24 meters water, easily accessible for all level divers from shore. Abundant marine life and good coral growth envelopes her. Very interesting dive.
