About Hercules Wreck

Another one of Sri Lankas beautiful and Historic Wreck dives is the Hercules Wreck. This ship was believed to have sunk near the Galle Harbour in 1661. She was only discovered in 1993 by a Western Australian Maritime Museum. The crew found a encrusted brass bell that says, 'AMOR VINCIT OMNIA ANNO 1625'. This is a beautiful wreck with an excellent display of marine and coral life. here you will also find large amounts of debris, items and perhaps some cannons. Great for the explorer diver.
