The Blue Explorers Dive centre in Tenerife is set right at the sea’s edge in the picturesque Canarian village and bay of Abades. The centre is comprised of a shop, a fully equipped classroom, an equipment room and a spacious changing room with lockers, toilets and shower. Their multiple dives sites are just minutes from the dive center; some can be reached by simply walking into the calm, pool-like waters of the bay and swimming a few metres out, others we access by a short mini-van ride to nearby beaches or sometimes by boat.Abades village square is right next to the dive centre and has all you would expect from a typical Canarian village, with restaurant’s serving local and international dishes and supermarkets for those looking to picnic on the beautiful natural beach. If you’re not staying in Abades they can arrange for their Blue Explorers, air-conditioned minibus to pick you up from your hotel or apartment and return you with a huge smile on your face after the diving has finished. If you’re coming to see them independently Abades is located 5 minutes away from the highway to Santa Cruz (25 minutes north, or the touristic south is 25 minutes south). If you don’t have a rental car there is a regular bus connection in both directions.Whether simply snorkeling, wanting to try scuba diving for the first time, an experienced diver seeking open or deep water experiences or looking to re-fresh your scuba diving skills, they have something for everyone. From the calm and beautiful bay of Abades – a marine reserve since 2011 - you’ll visit an underwater world filled with reefs, caves and pools where you can swim with rays, angelsharks, moray eels, shrimps, nudibranch and even sea horses – the warm Atlantic waters around Tenerife are teeming with life.
