About Castle Rocks

This amazing dive site is located before Cape Point Nature Reserve and one reaches the area via travelling past Simons Town if you're headed from Cape Town. The coast lines here are beautiful and offer some good site seeing for tourists.Just after the Millers Point turn off you will be able to spot a large area of rocks extending up through the water. One is able to park on the side of the road where you will find a pathway leading down to the waters edge.Visibility here varies but it can reach in excess of twenty meters if dived after a South Westerly or North Westerly wind. The dive consists of various underwater rock walls and interesting rock features, and there are also some beautiful corals upon the rocks which also house some small marine creatures. There are various other rocks surrounding castle rock which divers also have the opportunity of exploring. The marine life here is great and Galjoen, Red Roman, John Brown, Streepies and Zebra fish are just a few of the fish you will come across here. One of the best shore dives in the area
