About Sierra Madre Divers

Sierra Madre Divers was established in Bohol in 1996 by Laarni Lehtonen, one of the first female instructors in the Philippines. After over 20 years, we are still family owned and managed.They have a wonderful team of instructors from eight countries, and that is just where they were born, not where they have lived. Their combined life experience and values come from a multitude of countries and cultures. They are proud of their Filipino roots and work hard daily to perfect the Filipino smile – It’s more fun in the Philippines!Sierra Madre Divers are committed to environmental best practices and conservation. They are Green Fins accredited, and support marine research and local animal welfare with monthly sponsorships. They firmly believe in diving with a purpose, and offer a range of conservation events and courses for divers to become advocates for our ocean planet.
