This reef was one of Micronesia's most breathtaking until the 1992 typhoon took it out. The bottom slopes so the surge waves damaged the walls in one of the sections while the walls closeby were not touched, only the stronger coral remained. At this time there has been quite a bit of recovery - and colourful at that. On the other hand the storm provided nooks for reef fish which attract the bigger ones such as barracuda and the odd reef shark.
