South Goofnuw channel juts out more than the north where you can drift into the channel with the tide (sometimes 2 knots) to the Valley of the Rays. Here you can see Mantas at the end of the dive. The 9 - 30m walls on either side of the channel are coral and sand with huge heads and reef fish. At the entrance it slopes to 9m and the widens to the valley itself. The shallows have incredible hard coral growth at 5m but dont miss the pelagics. White Tips and Leopard sharks nap at the bottom. Lots of lobsters hide in the crevices. Not to mention tons and tons of mantas coming in and out!
