About Ponderosa

Ponderosa is an incredibly large and remarkably beautiful cenote, found close to Playa Del Carmen. Many different marine specimens can be found here, including, turtles, freshwater eels, many fish and aquatic plant life. There is limitless visibility. This is a prime site for both diving and snorkeling. The cavern dives here are more open water than other cenotes, it is also favored by photographers because of the amazing light penetration. Guides are recommended for cave dives. There is a massive area to explore via snorkeling with many different fish available.
