About Amigos Del Mar

The Amigos Del Mar Crew has a saying you’ll often hear around the dive store, it goes something like “We have to remember that these customers we have with us today saved and dreamt all year for this scuba diving vacation in Cabo San Lucas. Let’s make today the very best we can for them". Of course, it sounds way more poetic in Spanish. It’s people who make the difference. We take great pride in the Amigos Del Mar staff and the level of service they offer you. Your safety is always our first concern. Most of our staff have been with us for many years which is unusual in the SCUBA Industry where Divemasters and Instructors drift from dive shop to dive shop like so much flotsam and jetsam in the ocean. We truly believe in swimming the extra mile to make your diving vacation as memorable as possible.

Glide over nurse-shark nurseries at Hol Chan, descend along Lighthouse Reef’s vertiginous walls, or time your visit to Placencia for exhilarating whale-shark encounters at Gladden Spit. Warm 26-29 °C waters, 15-30 m visibility and a laid-back Creole-Garífuna culture turn every surface interval into a tropical holiday. Whether you’re certifying in shallow seagrass meadows or racking up tech-level depth on coral-encrusted ledges, Belize blends world-class marine biodiversity with sustainable operators, eco-minded lodges and easy travel connections—making it the perfect base for both first-time bubbles and bucket-list underwater adventures.
