About Fortizza Reef

Fortizza Reef is a captivating shore dive site situated off the promenade in Sliema, on the northeast coast of Malta. The site is characterized by its shallow reef, abundant with intriguing features such as caverns, tunnels, arches, overhangs, valleys, and gullies. The reef is also home to a diverse range of marine life, making it an ideal location for underwater photography. Divers can also hone their navigational skills here, using both a compass and underwater pilotage. The maximum depth of the dive is approximately 15 metres, making it suitable for all levels of divers.

Also known as Sliema House Reef, Fortizza Reef is adjacent to the Coral Gardens. The dive site is primarily a cave and reef type, offering a unique underwater experience. Despite its shallow depth, the site offers a variety of interesting rock formations for divers to explore. The recommended experience level for this site is beginner, making it a perfect spot for those new to diving.
