About Coral Gardens

Coral Gardens is a captivating shore dive site situated off the seaside promenade of Sliema, on the northeast coast of Malta. This shallow reef is characterized by valleys, canyons, and gullies, along with intriguing rock formations and swim-through tunnels. The reef is teeming with small marine life, making it an excellent spot for underwater photography and navigational skills training, both with a compass and by underwater pilotage. The maximum depth of Coral Gardens is around 15 metres, making it an accessible dive site for all levels of divers.

Also known as Sliema House Reef, Coral Gardens and the adjacent Fortizza Reef are popular among beginners due to their easy diving conditions. The dive site type is a reef, offering a unique underwater landscape for divers to explore. Despite its shallow depth, the site offers a rich and diverse marine life. The recommended experience level for this dive site is beginner, making it a perfect spot for those new to the sport or looking to improve their skills.
