About Anchor

Anchor Bay dive site, located on the north side of the bay near the far end of the concrete jetty, is known for its large anchor that measures approximately 3 m in length. The anchor, which is big enough for a diver to swim under, is situated around 8 m deep and is attached to a long heavy chain that extends towards the innermost end of the bay. Both the anchor and chain are covered with marine growth and the chain is partially buried in sand but remains visible.

The dive site is suitable for beginners and offers a diverse experience as divers can also explore the nearby reef and a cave, often referred to as Scorpion Cave. The dive typically concludes in the shallow waters of a training area protected by the jetty. The site type is a reef, however, the possible marine life that can be encountered is not specified. The maximum depth of the site is 8 m, but the maximum visibility and current conditions are not provided.
