About Anadrian

The Anadrian is a technical wreck dive located off the coast of Malta, specifically outside of Bahar ic-Caghaq. This site is the final resting place of a grab dredger built in 1952, which measures approximately 40 m in length and 9 m in width. The Anadrian was decommissioned in 1989 and scuttled a decade later, now residing at a depth of 65 m on a sandy seabed. This dive site is recommended for technical divers due to its depth and the complexity of the wreck.

Despite some parts of the Anadrian, including her triple expansion steam engine, being exhibited in the Malta Maritime Museum in Birgu (Vittoriosa), the wreck remains in good condition. The site offers a unique opportunity to explore a piece of maritime history. However, divers should note that the visibility and current conditions can vary. The type of marine life that can be encountered at this site is not specified.
