About Terumbu Tiga

The area of this dive site can be found on the northeastern coast of the Malaysia Peninsular, toughly 21 kilometers off the shores of the secluded of Kuala Besut. One can see two amazingly unharmed islands here, Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian) and Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian) which form the Perhentian Island where fisherman from the mainland stop for supplies or to wait out storms. Terumbu Tiga can be found to the east of Perhentian Besar and one will need a boat to arrive at it. If one does not feel up for the dive, there is a massive rocky jungle that allows for hours of hiking. One can see long-tailed macaques, monitor lizards and flying foxes in this jungle. Underwater life includes many fish and critters as well as crystal clear water and coral gardens.
