About The Macedonian

This dive consists of the wreckage of a cargo ship which used to travel between Lebanon and Egypt. She sank during the 1960s when she ran into a large storm and ended up running into a reef near Beirut. She now lies 500 meters North of Raouche,in front of Long Beach resort. She lies at a depth of around 20 to 25 meters at her deepest parts, and is suitable for all levels of experience. The current can be strong at times, which can make for a drift dive around the reef located near to the wreck, though one needs to be careful. There is some amazing marine life in the area with many eels and groupers and even some octopus
