About Black Ball Head

Take the L61 out of Castlebere,after about 10km you will see a junction with a right to Allhies,carry on past and you will notice a school on the right about 1km further.Take the next left and then the first right onto a narrow road,carry on for 1km and you will come to Black Ball Harbour.You can launch boats from this area,best being the beach about 100m from the pier.When heading out of the harbour turn left after about 300m and you will come to a cliff face.You can anchor there and begin your dive.These cliff faces descend 45m below the water and with various marine life as well as large walls it makes for a great dive.Should only be dived in calm,slack water though
