About Tanjung Rasa

This site is located off the northernmost peninsula of Banta. It consists of steep slopes which drop to a depth of 40 meters and are swept with horizontal and vertical currents. Sharks (including black tip reef sharks, white tip reef sharks, and grey reef sharks) frequent the large rock formations and deep canyons of this site. The spot is sometimes known as the Highway to Heaven and attracts two species of barracuda. For a look at a few varieties of macro creatures (such as leaffish and frogfish) head to the coral gardens of Toro Oi on the other peninsula.
