About Silvertip Grounds

One of the best dive sites in Gorontalo this dive is only for the advanced divers and consists of a huge wall with large caverns and an abundance of both marine growth and fish life. The area is also known for it's strong currents, which help attract marine life. There are several sections in this dive where you will come across boulders which have fallen off the cliffs and onto the reef. While the wall begins at shallow depths under 5 meters, they descend down to depths in excess of 35 meters. A very enjoyable but sometimes daunting dive site. Embrace the presence of the silvertip reef shark which will often be seen lurking here.
