Sardine reef is a large off shore reef that slopes down to around 25m. The name does not come from actual sardines, but the fish are so tightly squeezed here that it became the site's name. Large schools of fish, namely jacks, tuna and trevallys, block the light out. Australian Wobbegongs can be found here hiding under ledges and table corals. Keep your friends close to you because you may lose each other in the fish!
