About Makawide

Excellent coral growth in the shallows, with a wall like Nudi Retreat. Makawide includes a very rich and abundant array of life. This is an excellent site for pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs, with very good snorkelling opportunities, though it is subject to strong currents, being more exposed than Nudi Retreat. When you are at the ocean floor, try sticking your hand into the black sand and you will be able to feel the heat produced by the volcanic activity!
