About Gili Selang

This is not a beginner's dive and one should watch out for up and down currents. The outgoing currents at the point can carry divers out to sea making it especially dangerous for novices. Stay close to the Diving Professionals instructor who has vast experience of this area. This large rock outcrop is separated from the mainland by a narrow, shallow channel. Divers usually enter from the front of the village in the protected area near the rock. For those wanting a little more excitement, swim to the outer wall north-east of the island where the brisk current here generally sweeps south.
