Moon Hole is a peninsula dive of the point on the South (south eastern) Coast of Utila Island in the Honduras. Moon Hole's features nooks and crannies to explore and swim through. A large MOON shape reef hole gives the dive site it's name and provides a great photo opportunity. Plenty of stag horn and elk horn are found here. There is a selection of large caverns and loads of crevices along the wall. Between 6 and 12 m. Green moray eels, nurse sharks, squid, shrimp, lobster, crabs and other tropical fish will be seen in great numbers. Sometimes golden tail moray eel and the odd viper eel can also be seen in this area.
