About Shark Fin Reef

Prepare for a two-part, adrenalin pumping, shark- feeding frenzy. The first part with the Bull Sharks takes place on the ledge of the reef alongside the plummeting drop-off at 30m known as 'The Arena.' The second part 'The Den', takes place a little shallower where the rest of the species congregate from reef sharks to lemon and tiger sharks. This site is a marine reserve monitored by the Ministry of Fisheries. Due to the popularity of the dive the coral has been greatly compromised. Opinions vary with regards to the shark feeding itself, but they do tag the sharks for monitoring. Be aware when you dive there that this however this does not mean that one should be negligent of the fragile coral in the midst of all the excitement.
