About Blue Coral Reef

If you are familiar with Fiji's biodiversity and have not yet visited this site you are missing out on a very intricate and unique offering. Marine biologists all over the world find fascination with the blue coral found specifically here (Heliopora Caerulea) because it was presumed not to belong naturally to the endemic species of Fiji until as recently as 2005. Even more amazing is that the coral is named so for its skeletal pigmentation and not external appearance.
