About The P.D Wreck

Also known as The D.B Gemini. This was a American registered jack up drilling barge. This wreck debris was only discovered recently when the SSS Survey picked up some strange wreckage on the seabed. Despite the fact that large amounts of wreck debris was found, no wreck was ever found. It is believed that this barge was drilling near Ras Shukier when one of her legs collapsed on 8 October 1974. 18 people died in this incident. During her salvage, all her legs started bending and she almsot capsized. She was considered written off and later removed. Today you will find several underwater items from this barge including, ladders, winches, circular depressions, cowls and several other items. Very shallow and suitable for all level divers.
