About SS Ulyses

Built in 1871 this large vessel began sinking in August 1887 when she hit Gubal Seghir, while the weather conditions were still good it seemed the ship had a lot of time but then after a few days the weather picked up and became stormy.Eventually on the 5th September the whole ship had sunk, but by this time all of the crew had been safely evacuated. She now lies broken at 29 meters next to the reef. The wreck is still in decent enough condition to provide and enjoyable dive and the remains are covered in coral growth, the area is also home to lots of fish life
