About SS Scalaria Wreck

The SS Scalaria was a GRT Tanker. She was built in England, Uk and served for the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company. She transported oil to several countries including Bristol, Dover, Dundee and South Africa. She sank on 19 October 1942 under the command of Captain J. Waring after attack from a German Heinkel 111. A total of 11 liuves were lost in this incident. She now rests in shallow waters of 10 meters and can be found close to the Aboudy. A beautiful wreck dive with a large array of marine life and coral formations.
