About Shoe Stump

This dive site is located just to the north of Dahab, the dive site gets its name apparently due to the fact that divers used to locate the site via an old shoe which was attached to a pole. This dive site can only be dived during calm weather conditions cause of the exposed position in which this dive is located, in rough conditions the seas become extremely choppy in this area. The dive begins by descending down into a tunnel which is accessed through a hole in the reef, which when passed through leaves the diver at a depth of around 6 meters. The dive site continues on with plenty of wonderful rock and reef structures, plastered in a variety of sponges and corals. Fish life here is also great.
