The Shillong was a huge cargo vessel of 8934 tons. She was enroute from London to Tsingtao when she collided with the Purfina Congo. This incident happened in March 1949 nder the command of Captain E.J. Spurling. Todat she rests in a depth of 23 meters close to the July Oilfield wreck in the seperation channel. At the time of her sinking she was carrying a load of general cargo. You can find several artifacts and items when diving here. Beautiful wreck dive.
