About Empire Patrol

Also known as The Rodi before being seized as a war prize by the British. The Empire Patrol was a GRT build passenger and cargo vessel. She sank on 29 September 1945 while busy transporting Greek refugees. Shortly after she set sail for the island of Castelorizo she experienced a fire. This fire spread through the entire ship and a distress call was sent out. the next day, the HMS Trouncer arrived at the scene to rescue the refugees. She sank shortly after and now rests in a depth of 22 meters. Suitable for all level divers.
