About Dunraven

This scuba dive is located 11 kilometers West of Ras Mohammad and consists of the wreck of a steamship which was used for spice transportation as well as that of wood.She sank 1896 when she hit the reef while on route to Newcastle from Bombay. This 82 meter long wreck's stern lies at a depth of 28 meters and her bow at a depth of 18 meters.Around the wreck are also a series of small reefs as well as a lagoon and a wreck of another vessel,an English wreck which sunk in 1876 and now lies upside down. Marine life around the wreck and the whole area is good with groupers,napoleans,glassfish,goatfish and rays
