About St Georges Island

St Georges Island is a reputable dive site nestled in the Akamas Marine Reserve on the North Western end. This site is characterized by a distinct wall-like formation with a steep drop-off that starts at about 10 meters. As you explore further, the drop-off dramatically descends to a sloping seafloor at a depth of 32 meters. Although the sea bed continues to descend beyond 50 meters, there are limited sights to see past the wall. Divers can expect a varying visibility range at this site: a minimum of approximately 12.5 meters, extending up to a maximum of about 37.5 meters in optimal conditions. Despite the steep descent, the dive site offers an adventurous exploration without unnecessary risks, making it an engaging spot for those willing to take on its depths.
