About Grote Knip / Playa Abou

This is another excellent beach for the whole family. Parking is free. Facilities are limited to a few shaded areas, so don't forget your water and snacks. You can gear up in the parking lot and take the steps down to the wide sandy beach below. It somewhat damaged by Hurricane Lenny. During the week the beach is quiet, but on weekends it can get quite crowded. The kick-out for the diver is a little far, but take your time. Directions: To get here by car, head towards Westpunt past the town of Lagun. Take a left at Landhuis Knip, then follow the shore road past Kleine Knip to the parking lot at Grote Knip.
